Amazon had its annual event on September 28, during which it announced a number of new items. One of them was the third iteration of the Fire TV Cube, which is a mix of a smart speaker and a streaming box.
The new set-top box for televisions is available for pre-order today in Spain for the price of €159.99; it will go on sale there on October 27, 2022. It does not seem that it will be sold in Mexico or any of the other countries that make up the Latin American market at this time.
Amazon claims that the latest edition of the Cube, which comes equipped with a new octa-core CPU running at 2.0 GHz, is up to 20% more powerful than its predecessor. Additionally, it accelerates the process of starting apps.
In contrast to the previous version, which only included an HDMI output connector, this newer model incorporates both an HDMI input and output. This enables you to utilize the Cube with a wide variety of devices in addition to your television, including Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, and more.
The new design’s rounded corners and the speakers’ placement within them offer hope for a marked improvement in sound quality over the older model’s disappointing audio output.

The third-generation Fire TV Cube, a smart speaker/streaming box hybrid, was one of many new products announced by Amazon on September 28 at its annual event.
Spain will be the first country to sell the new TV box, which can be pre-ordered now for €159.99 and will go on sale there on October 27, 2022. The Mexican and Latin American markets don’t appear to be getting it anytime soon.
Amazon claims that the new Cube, equipped with its 2.0GHz octa-core processor, is up to 20% more powerful than its predecessor. It also helps programs start up more quickly.
Unlike its predecessor, which only had an output HDMI port, this device has both an input and an output. You can connect the Cube to devices other than a TV, such as a set-top box, Blu-ray player, or game console.

The Amazon Fire TV Cube, like previous models, features voice control via Alexa for hands-free operation. There are now four microphones used, which greatly enhances the voice-activated features.
Dolby Vision, High Dynamic Range, and Dolby Atmos sound are all supported on the device. Amazon has also included their Super Resolution Upscaling technology, which can up-resolution HD videos to 4K. This includes both classic films and photographs projected onto a large screen.
Infrared (IR) blaster, power input, USB Type-A port, and Gigabit Ethernet jack are among the additional ports. The volume, select, and mute buttons on the top of the Cube haven’t changed. In addition, it’s the first Fire TV Cube to feature Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
Amazon also announced the Alexa Pro voice remote, which works with all Fire TV devices, alongside the new Fire TV Cube. It can be reserved now for €39.99 and goes on sale in Spain on November 16.
If you hide your new controller and then tell Alexa, “Alexa, find my controller,” a chime will sound to let you know where it is. The Fire TV app includes a button specifically for activating the remote finder.
There are two programmable buttons on the controller. Shortcuts to Netflix and other apps, as well as other smart home controls like lighting and weather, can be created with them.
